Trauma

“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.” Rainier Maria Rilke

It is not fair that anyone should endure situations which are hurtful or abusive. There are those who experience profoundly distressing and sometimes ongoing trauma. Any situation in which one feels required to comply with behaviours which do not feel ok, can have a traumatic component which calls for healing.

Sometimes we become aware of patterns of behaviour which do not serve us. These can be linked to historic events, which are locked in our psyches, waiting for a tender moment to be addressed.
